omg everybody of all the stories we need right now, how are we going to get a TV show LARP-ing of horrific anti-Black violence as though that’s not peoples’ lived everyday reality, as though white supremacy is anything but the law of the land, as American as apple pie, the fugly gangrenous threads from which the fabrics of our biggest institutions are woven, from schools to prisons and to our electoral process to the highest halls of power. As though beautiful people were not just murdered by Nazis in Charlottesville; as though beautiful people have not died, are not dying, will not continue to die - in cells, in ICE detention centers, in police department backrooms, dying from no health care and from getting evicted and from working brutal unsafe jobs every day until they’re broken, dying in hate crimes, from coast to coast. As though Dragons and Wizards aren’t real, lurking in your uncle’s facebook comments/office cubicle/Starbucks line/wearing an All Lives Matter pin/shutting down your school’s PTA meeting, unperturbed
